NTUST Course Predator

I built this bot because I was frustrated with missing out on university courses due to a manual, luck-based registration system. As a beginner, I wanted to take control of the situation and automate the tedious task of refreshing pages and clicking buttons. This project was a major turning point for me; it proved I could solve my own problems through code, giving me the confidence to focus on self-driven learning rather than comparing myself to others.

I started with Selenium to simulate clicks but soon integrated OCR (Pytesseract) to bypass captchas with 80% accuracy. To make the system more robust, I added status checks that saved 95% of my monitoring time. In the final version, I replaced the browser simulation with HTTP requests, which optimized the tool to save over 500MB of RAM. Successfully securing my seat with this bot is what sparked my passion for building practical, efficient software.
